THIS could be the best thing you'll eat all summer. I had a tray of 10 mangoes bought to be eaten Christmas Day but the weather was so cool no one really felt like them.
So, last night I decided something had to be done or they'd be headed for the bin and I hate wasting food. Hate it. So, into the blender they went (about six small to medium mangoes) with a couple of passionfruit, a shake of the caster sugar jar (about half a cup) and the leftovers of a tub of Greek yoghurt (about a cup, maybe a little less).
I poured them into ice block moulds - Tupperware ones I bought from a CWA second hand stall for 50c - and, bam, delicious cold treats.
Now, I am no expert, this was a delicious fluke, but if you're after more icy treats to make at home you'll find plenty of inspiration here:

That looks DELICIOUS!!!! =)

Yummo, though I would not have any leftover mango at our house. They're a little bit too pricey to waste or buy in trays here!! So I'll try making these with raspberries or boysenberries - first I need to find some ice block moulds at the op shop!
ReplyDeletethese sound unbelievable! I was so hungover yesterday I really needed ice pops and I wish I'd seen this recipe!
